Who is the Doctor?
Dr. Kirsten Franke graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. She began her career working in small animal practice, later worked as a shelter veterinarian, and finally started ReadySetVet® in 2013. She is passionate about animal welfare, the human-animal bond and improving quality of life for geriatric and debilitated animals. It is Dr. Franke's belief that the most loving, family-oriented way to say goodbye to your beloved pet "when it's time” is a peaceful euthanasia where he or she is most comfortable... at home on a comfy blanket or outside in a favorite spot, with you at their side.
What are the advantages of a house call?
A house call provides convenience to you and is often less stressful to your pet. House calls eliminate the stress of a car ride, time spent in a waiting room, and can often be made “last minute” when a need arises. In-home euthanasia allows for a more relaxed atmosphere, a personalized experience, the option to have friends and family there for support, privacy to grieve, and gives other pets in the household the chance to say goodbye to the pet that has passed.
